My plans are simple, no funeral, basic casket per the Jewish faith, and THIS is what I received from Sisskind: "The cemetery you chose has required the use of a vault since 1979. The cost is 650. The casket of pine with no metal is 650. Honorariums are to be paid. The opening of a grave is 900. The cost of transferring your body to us from the Mid Hudson Valley is 1000. This includes Transit 200 miles at 3.50 per mile costs filing paperwork and refrigeration. The funeral home then gets into "arrangements" costing 3995, and "supervision" costing 750. which is NOT explained in full. Ask questions of this one. LOTS of them.
