I would recommend Dunbar Funeral Home to anyone desiring a beautiful farewell for their loved one. This funeral home guided my family through two funerals over the past three years. These wonderful people treated the preparation of my parents as if each one was their family member. The staff is incredibly empathetic, thoughtful, and conscientious of their work. They were very patient and helpful towards all members of my family. They were always available to answer questions and managed all aspects of preparing materials for the viewing, funeral , and obituary. All guests at the viewings were amazed by how much my mom and dad looked like their photographs from a time when they were well. I can’t express my gratitude enough for the time and care that the Dunbar family and staff dedicated toward making my family feel comfortable and confident in fulfilling my parents’ final wishes. Thank you Dunbar Funeral Home for making our final visit with each parent special.

We love Dunbar Funeral home! We recently lost a beloved family member rather suddenly. Dunbar is a family owned business and helped us through this extremely difficult time as if it was their family member that had passed. We know because of God’s love, grace and mercy and Jesus’ death and resurrection we will see our loved one again in Heaven, but that doesn’t take away our pain. At Dunbar, they patiently walked us through every step and took care of all the paperwork. This was huge. There is a special care the entire staff gave us. We had an amazing experience when we chose Dunbar to handle my father's arrangements. From the moment we walked in the door and were greeted by the owner, we felt a calm and peace that we never expected. He assisted us with making all arrangements and plans, picking out the casket and other necessary items, and ANY question or suggestion we had. The obituary draft was written by Alicia within 15 minutes of her receiving the information (eventhough it was her day off). Mr. Dunbar personally drove the family car and picked up the family for the funeral. He was very respectful and friendly (he made us feel like we were part of his family). I communicated with Alicia through text messages (ALOT) and she responded very promptly no matter what day or time I reached out to her. Every detail was just as we asked and trust me..... I am a VERY "strong advocate" for a my family. Mr. Dunbar quickly came to my rescue at the graveside as reality hit me and I had an anxiety attack. He made sure that I had cold water to drink, cold water for my neck, and he stayed by my side until I calmed down (eventhough my husband was with me). He seemed to care about me as a person... Not a customer. The entire staff was accommodating, caring, kind, and compassionate. You will not find another funeral home to take better care of your needs in a time of sorrow. I would give them 10 stars if I could. I will never choose another business to take care of my loved one's final wishes. You can trust Dunbar without any doubt. They treat you like family..... Even if you've never met.
